About Me
ABOUT ME
I am really easy going and easy to get along with. I started traveling for the first time when I was 18 and it's become something of an addiction. I love my home town of Victoria, but sometimes I just want to get as far away from it as possible. I'm pretty quiet when you first meet me, but I really enjoy meeting new people and am really friendly, I promise. I mean well.
I'm a musician and play the bass in a band called Annette's Beach Party. I've just arrived back in Victoria after living in Montreal for a year, and would love to keep my French up!
PHILOSOPHY
Live the life you want and make your own luck.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I did some couchsurfing in Eastern Canada last year and met some great people. I've done a bit of hosting in Victoria but not much and can't wait to do more in Montreal!
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I couchsurfed across Canada by myself in late 2010 and had amazing experiences everywhere that I stayed. As a young woman traveling on my own I was nervous at first, but every host that I stayed with was welcoming and made me feel not only safe but at home. I've made some great friends from other countries I would otherwise never have met as well, through couchsurfing meetings and events! I can't wait to do more when I'm done school and while I'm living in Montreal, and start building up my profile more.
Interests
My interests include rock and roll, animation, anthropology, social justice, and theatre.
Besides that I enjoy the hanging out, swimming in lakes, hiking, car rides, scrabble, going to shows, and going for a drink.

Music, Movies, and Books
My favourite books are One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest, High Fidelity, The Catcher in the Rye, Chronicles: Volume One, and Slaughterhouse 5.
My favourite movies are Almost Famous, Transamerica, the Blues Brothers, the Commitments, When Harry Met Sally, Stranger Than Fiction, Harold and Maude, and One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest.
I love classic rock, I have no shame in it. I have the musical taste of a 15 year old stoner from the seventies.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Probably the most impressive thing I've found myself doing is going skydiving when I was in Australia. But man, I want to fill this section to the brim.
