PLEASE NOTE: *I cannot accommodate travelers with no references, and am usually not able to host same-day requests.*
ABOUT ME
Hey CSers. I'm a traveler and a hoster from waaaay back. Happy to offer my time for a place to stay, coffee, meal, drink or a tour of Waterloo.
I live with LeBron the big friendly cat in a three-bedroom house in the Highland Square district in Waterloo -- a great place to stop for a night or two if you happen to have a reason. The top reasons to stay with us in Waterloo include:
-- roadtripping cross-country
-- UNI International Teachers Fair
-- accidentally
Also, if you happen to have business downtown, we're a 3-minute drive!
I like surfers I can chat with and take around the area, if that's your style. I'm flexible about going out or staying in, but you gotta leave when I leave for work.
Lucky for you, there's tons to do -- bars, cafes, restaurants as diverse as Thai, Mexican, Irish, German, Chinese, Italian, high-end, diners, BBQ, etc. -- plus the Center for the Arts, kids museums, ice arena, waterpark, casino and plenty more!

Interests
I like live music and jam sessions, theater, movies, art and writing. I like having people over and just hanging out, playing board games like Catan, Cards Against Humanity, other kinds of cards (geeky kinds of cards, too! do you maybe play MTG?) or watching the Cubs play or watch something on Netflix. I like bike rides and sitting by the river. I like staying up later than I should. I like a conversation with a new person, a great book and a good meal. I like to play tennis and go downhill skiing.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Flown a plane. Stood on the rim of the Grand Canyon. Looked into the belly of the Eiffel Tower and felt like an ant compared to the Statue of Liberty.
Teach, Learn, Share
I play guitar, piano and pretend to drum so if you want to jam I am down.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can cook a stir fry or some pasta, we can play cards or board games and end with some Mario Kart 64. You know, cool stuff. 😎
