Hello everyone,
my name is Anika, I'm 22 years old and I'm from Germany. I'm currently studying translation (English and French) at university and I'm planning on finishing it next year (fingers crossed).
I love animals, vibrant and healthy vegan food, (long walks in) nature and meeting people from around the world.
I guess my friends would describe me as an open-minded, thoughtful, friendly, fun to be with kind of person.
Unfortunately I never had the chance to travel outside Europe, but that is hopefully going to change soon!
I dont really care where I'm going as long as I'm going to meet kind-hearted and maybe likeminded people.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

To be honest, I'm looking for an easy way to meet people from all around the world. I want to make friends and keep these friendships throughout my life so that they can show me their world and I can show them mine. I think it would be great to just always have a place to stay in the world (of course you can come and visit me as well). Furthermore couchsurfing is a very (student) budget-friendly thing to do and it just sounds like so much fun.

Interests

My number one interest is the ethical treatment of living beings. Humans as well as animals of course. This is the main reason why I am vegan. I don't judge people for eating meat and I don't promote veganism as the only way. I just love animals and being as close to nature as possible. My diet mostly consists of fruits, vegetables and rice. For the future I'm planning on going fully raw. Food, especially fruit, is one of my biggest passions. Moreover I love reading, watching movies (especially horror movies), meeting up with friends, concerts, exercising... anything really as long as it's fun.
I guess travelling counts as well :-P
