I discovered Couchsurfing through a friend and had my first experience in Braga, Portugal — and I loved it! I was warmly welcomed and had the chance to see the city through local eyes, which made everything feel more real and special.

I truly believe there’s nothing like discovering new countries and cultures while connecting with people who live the local rhythm, know the hidden gems, and share the soul of the place in a way no guidebook ever could.

For me, Couchsurfing is not just about traveling — it’s about exchanging stories, perspectives, kindness and presence. And that’s the kind of travel that stays with you forever.
