About Me
Hi! My name is Ana and I am a travel lover (of course... hehe).
I am a person that likes to go where the wind blows and can't deal with monotony. I think these two aspects made me live different situations and made my passion for people, life and nature to grow.
I am graduated in biomedicine, postgraduated in Chinese acupuncture and currently studying Epidemiology. I also worked as a health inspector in BR, acupuncturist and tour guide in SE.
After 5 years in a great job and life in Sao Paulo, I decided to quit everything and go traveling in Southeast Asia for 5 months - this was the best decision ever!!
I ended up in Sweden and now I am kind of settled down in Stockholm (at least for the next 2 years), where I stay dreaming about the next travel.
I am an easygoing and optimist person, who loves to be in contact with nature and animals. I am also vegan and a good company to trekking (or just for a walking around the city). Parties are welcome as is the tranquility of a reading moment.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
After some trips and different experiences, I realized that what makes a travel be worth (for me) is the new experiences I have and the people I meet. I also love to visit touristic spots and to do some touristic things, but being immerse in local culture is what makes my smile wider.
Unfortunately in hostel we usually miss the experience of being part of the local culture and this is why I want to do Couchsurfing.
Moreover I love to have friends over my place, but I share the house with more people and they don't allow "strange people" to come in. So through CS I can meet people, make friends and have they at my place hehe. 🧡

Music, Movies, and Books
Music: I like Classic and Indie Rock, MPB, Reggae, Jazz and anything that has a nice rhythm (like Reggaeton and Brazilian funk). I also used to listen to Heavy and Black Metal when I was younger and I kind of still like it.
Movies: I am a little bit picky regarding movies... I like movies that teach me something/make me reflect.
Books: I used to be a bookworm before I started studying like crazy. My favorite books are One hundred years of solitude, The unbeareable lightness of being, Lolita, Childhood's end, Contos - Machado de Assis. One of the goals in my life is to read one book of each country - it needs to be written by a local author and contextualize life in the country. I am super far from reaching this goal and I would love to have suggestions of books!!
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
See the Milky Way (2015).
Hike the Vinicunca Mountains (2017).
Five months of backpacking in Southeast Asia (2018).
Teach, Learn, Share
I think every person is unique and has some wisdom to share. As long as we are respectful to each other and open-minded, we can learn a lot only by talking and watching others attitudes.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can do acupuncture, ear puncture (both only if I have the material with me) or teach you some points that you can pressure by yourself. I can cook some full-of-love vegan food, suggest amazing Brazilian songs, share some experiences and spend hours talking about anything.
You might also have a place to stay in Stockholm :) I have worked as a tour guide tour there and you can have a free private tour in the city as well. :)
