About Me
Hola!! I am Ana, an Ecudorian living in Germany. I move to Germany 3 years ago to learn German and start my masters degree. I am a Biotechnologist and my masters are in Biology, my main focus is Conservation Genomics, microbiome, genetics and conservation of wildlife in general. But not everything is science in my life. I enjoy outdoor sports like jogging and climbing. I also enjoy photography (not a professional just a simple amateur). I like to read, mainly science and poetry, yes two opposite poles, maybe for keep the balance of my spirit in this material world =) I like knitting, I actually love knitting, and normally I just knit things for my self, because I love to spoil my self a lot!
At the moment I have a work as a research assistant at the university and I also work in my research for my Master thesis. I am studying the evolution of the microbiome in a target species of the Amazon rainforest and the effects of e new emerging disease. I really love what I do, so if you ask me, I will love to tell you and share with you what I am doing and of course what I am learning. Learning and sharing knowledge is one of my life philosophies.
In my free time, I love to do sports, I go bouldering, jogging and also I do yoga by myself. I like to spend time with my friends, cooking, drinking wine and just have a nice talk. I am not the calm type of just going out for drinks, but now and then I like to go clubbing.
I enjoy music, I am not going to list all the type of music that I like, but I am going to mention some of my favorite bands and singers. Radiohead, Portishead, Massive Attack, Björk, Hooverphonic, CocoRosie, The Doors, Tame Impala, Chemical Brothers, Jamiroquai, The Beatles, Ana Tjoux, Doctor Krapula, Soda Estereo, Gustavo Cerati, Café Tacuba, Bebe... and some more. I enjoy also Hip-hop and House and Techno.... yes I love diversity.
And if I will choose a word for me, will be that, Diversity. I enjoy meeting new people, especially with other cultural backgrounds and way of thinking. I love to learn from different people and different points of views. I think that we all build ourselves about the experiences and thoughts that we share with the people that are crossing our same path.
My friends always describe me as a happy person, and I am. I enjoy my life and who I am every day. I can only give you good vibes.
I am a very active person so I am normally doing things all the time, I have a strong personality but I am not intimidating. I like sarcasm, so most of the time I am also sarcastic because the world needs more sarcasm than taking all things so personal and serious. I like to joke and laugh, and of course, I enjoy to be around people who make me laugh and has the initiative to do things and enjoy life =)
Enough about me, you will just have to meet me to agree =)
