1. Because it promotes trust between people who don't know each other
2. Because I can make friends from all over the world while being at home.
3. Many people have been kind to me during my different bicycle trips, people who have offered me a place to sleep and rest.
4. I've been in both positions many times, hosting and being hosted for people inside and outside the CS community. It's my way to always keep saying thanks.
