Overview
About Me
Hi there. I’m a German/ Norwegian/ Japanese woman, and I’ve lived most of my life in Bristol, England. I am a calm human, continually humbled and amazed by the natural world. This interconnection between the organic earth and our mental and physical health in humans is what’s stimulating my journey at the moment:) I have traveled through France to the Andalucian hills in a home made mini Yurt. My path has changed slightly, as they do, and I am now on foot, looking for silliness, musical movement, and friendly human connection!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I am on couch surfing because it seems wonderful to create a virtual community based on trust and the belief that people inherently want to help others and share. I have used it many times since I was sixteen, and have had many beautiful experiences.

Music, Movies, and Books
Tricky to summarise in any way...
The music that has moved me most over the last couple years is dub, somehow the bass tempo fits to my psyche:) I also love instrumental harmonisation of any kind, as I am a violinist myself and that is mostly what is created. Although, I use my violin mostly for emotional release than to perform. Classical music, blues, psychedelic rock also move me!
Currently I am reading books on biodynamic (organic) farming, India’s move towards democracy, non violent communication, and Khalil Gibran’s The Prophet.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I think it is amazing to be able to see the absolute beauty of the earth when you are feeling very sad or depressed. I had one such moment recently where in my sadness I looked up at the seagulls flying in some crazy London afternoon and was able to laugh in celebration of their beauty. I hope I can continue to have such experiences, and glimpse that awareness.
Teach, Learn, Share
I love working with the Earth and am a keen gardener. My interests are taking me into the ways in which we can harness our connection to the natural world to make us healthier and overcome certain traumas. I have worked as a horticultural therapist and with refugees in the UK and France.
I am also a creative, and love to make different things out of leather, wood, wool and metal. I have learnt welding, and really enjoy blacksmithing.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I enjoy cooking, and am a clean and respectful person of other people’s space:)
