Overview
About Me
Born and mostly raised in the crazy and beautiful Metro Manila, Philippines. Got my first taste for international travel when I moved to the US in high school. I have since lived in 3 different states and am currently residing in the Midwest. I studied abroad in college which opened the doors for more traveling. Although introverted by nature, I love meeting people from different parts of the world and learning about their culture. My favorite way to learn about other cultures is through the food 😊
One of my medium term goals at the moment is to become fluent in Spanish.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
To meet locals and learn about their country/city through their experiences and knowledge!
Interests
Reading, food trips, happy hours, museums, concerts, exploring new places, seeking hidden gems, karaoke, musicals, discovering new music, trying out recipes, brunch, binge watching Spanish shows, etc.
Music, Movies, and Books
Music: A lot of popular music lol but my favorite genres include R&B and tropical house. Highlights: Ariana Grande, Khalid, Nao, Daniel Caesar, Billie Eilish, etc.
Movies: The Sound of Music (all-time fave), anything Disney/Pixar, Forrest Gump, Harry Potter, La La Land, etc.
Books: Used to be so obsessed with YA (Harry Potter, Hunger Games, etc.), recent good reads: Little Fires Everywhere, 11/22/63. I almost only ever read fiction, but I welcome all book suggestions! Proud to be a member of a book club in my city lol
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Conquered my fear of heights by skydiving in Oceanside, CA overlooking the beautiful ocean
