About Me

Hey there! I'm Ana. I'm an Engl.-Sp. translator, I'm currently living in La Plata (BA, Arg.) but soon I'll be living in Necochea (500 km from Buenos Aires City), my hometown and a beautiful seaside city.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I know there might not be many people doing couchsurfing in Necochea, and I had the chance to meet quite a few in La Plata and Buenos Aires (I'm currently living in La Plata with a girl from Colombia who has an active participation in couchsurfing). I feel like Necochea could benefit from having people from around the world see it, and at the same time, since it's not a city most people know, it could be cool for them to spend a night or a few days there just to see a different place in Argentina, not so touristic and well known, probably on their way to more popular places, like Patagonia (Necochea is 500 km South from Buenos Aires).

Music, Movies, and Books

Love indie rock and can't live without music (who can?). I like many bands, too many to list them, but the first ones that come to my mind right now are Anathema, Interpol, Anneke van Giersbergen (when she's acting all bff's with Danny Cavanagh even more!), Placebo, Opeth (this is getting eclectic...), 21 pilots, Daft Punk (let's make it even more eclectic then), Maximo Park, Muse... And the list goes on and on. Love reading (can't make yet another list, but I have a tendency to really enjoy dystopia as a genre) and can't get enough of movies and series (best ones, at least last year: Mr. Robot, Sense8, Westworld, Stranger Things, OITNB, etc, etc...)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Open my mind as wide as I can to absorbe all the beauty this world (and its more-often-than-we-think-amazing people) has to offer.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach English and Spanish (I'm a translator, but I can still teach, I guess hehe). I love cooking, so I can teach sth in that area too. And learn of course!! Things from new languages, new cultures, new awesome people. I can share whatever people need me to share =)

What I Can Share with Hosts

Things from my culture, recipes, yummy dishes (guess I'm hungry as I'm writing this hehe) and I've heard I make a killing _mate_, bien argentino =)
