Hello dear hosts and travellers,
I am Ana-Maria, I am 25 years old and I love travelling! I come from Romania, I have grown up in Italy and Germany, where I will be completing my master’s degree in Business Studies. The past year I have been doing an exchange year in Australia in Brisbane and I loved it! I have a multicultural background, so that I can socialize very fast and I can adapt to new people, cultures and situations. To this regard, I was also president of DEGIS in Kassel, a volunteering association of international students in Germany and my team and I planned local day-trips to help them integrate and discover a new culture.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am on Couchsurfing to meet local hosts in New Zealand , South Korea, Japan, Thailand, Malaysia and Singapore on my way back to Germany. My experience travelling with Couchsurfing in Australia and New Zealand has been amazing so far and I have met so many interesting people and shared ideas about food and traditions.

Music, Movies, and Books

I listen almost every type of music starting from pop music to classical music. I dance Salsa and Bachata and I love the latin music, but I also like Italian and English pop music.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The best experience I have done so far has been travelling solo in Australia for two months! That’s where I started using Couchsurfing the most and I have so many good memories! The best part of the journey it’s not just about the places, but also about the people met along the way. I am still in contact with many of them :)

Teach, Learn, Share

I am a polyglot, so that I can help people to communicate and learn new languages (Romanian and Italian are my mother tongues and I used to teach Italian in my spare time).
I am ready to learn traditions, uses and house rules, so that I can adapt rapidly to new couch-hosts.
I can share my experience with you and suggest you what to visit in one of the countries I have visited so far. I am also a good photographer so that I could make pictures of you if we travel together.

What I Can Share with Hosts

As I did in the past, sometimes we cooked together or visited places and I am still in contact with my past hosts because we became friends :)
Where I can, I would also like to help with my language skills, give some travel advice about my countries and during my stay I can help with anything you need for the house, from cooking to of course leaving the place clean.
