About Me

Hello everyone! I am a 28 year old Croatian who just moved to Dublin. Currently I'm working here as a hotel receptionist and a freelance translator when time allows. Dublin is a great city but I'm still new here so you can explore the city with me!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Just moved to a new country and want to meet as many people from as many countries possible who speak as many different languages :)

Interests

  • writing music

Music, Movies, and Books

Too much to name really but music favorites would be Otis Redding, Janis Joplin, Leonard Cohen, Pixies, Breeders, Ani DiFranco, Deftones, Lauryn Hill, etc etc. Favorite books would include anything from Krleža (Croatian writer) and books on modern history and politics in particular.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Many people probably did this, but moving to a new country alone without knowing anybody there and finding my inner peace there is something to me.
Oh and spending the afternoon with a real life king and queen would probably be one for the books as well.

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm pretty much an auditive type, a music nerd and a linguist. It'd be great to meet people who share my love of lexemes and morphemes but I'd like to meet people with completely different interests as well cause sometimes it's more fun getting to know something completely new. Teaching you a few words of some language or a few chords always works. And yes, spending time abroad doesn't have to be only indulging, if you're taking your time to volounteer for some purposeful goal, I'd like to join you there as well.

What I Can Share with Hosts

This is a good question and I honestly thought of that myself cause I can be a peculiar person in a sense that if someone doesn't sit with me, I can't pretend I like them and that can at times be problematic. I am a very honest and raw person and I appreciate people who are pretty much the same. But when I like you, I really like you and will try everything to be a great, friendly, positive and cheerful flatmate, if only for a day :)
