About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Finding my dream job around dialogue.s (with oneself, with others, between different communities) and peace-making

ABOUT ME

A life of explorations and travels, and encounters, meeting with lovely people and enjoying that a lot!
I worked 10 year for various NGOs on peacebuilding and social entrepreneurship and innovation, in various countries (Costa Rica, Kosovo, Indonesia, Afghanistan).
Now living next to Paris.

PHILOSOPHY

Life is a long path: don't sprint it, enjoy each step

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

So far, I mostly surfed couches because I'm not often at home. I'd love to host people when I am around.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

CS is just an amazing project, that has been working and keeps on working, therefore proving at every single moment that: yes, solidarity can exist; yes, you can live amazing stuff, connecting moments with perfect strangers; And NO NO NO we should not be afraid of each others.
CS is a peace-building project, I simply love it.

Interests

Sport (Used to play tennis quite often, I keep playing whenever I can; swimming; running -> semi-marathons, maybe planning for a full marathon some day ;) ; and since a year and half kick boxing and thai boxing.

Learn languages = the best way to understand, apprehend and get integrated in another culture.

Discussions about the meaning of life, philosophy, linguistic, social construction and how to (try to) live a free life. Or just drink a beer and listen to some good music.

Meditation since not long, called Vipassana, that I love and recommend to all.

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies:
D. Lynch (Mullholland Drive), A. Desplechin (Un conte de Noel), Almodovar, early Woody Allen (Manhattan is awesome);
I watched many movies on Latin/central America recently. Very gooood ones that I would recommend so far: Romero (Dictatorship in Salvador), Nostalgia de la Luz (amazing movie of Guzman on the desert of Atacama in Chile, where astronauts live next to families who suffered loss during dictatorship); Sin Nombre (breath-taking on immigration through Central America, street gangs and violence);

Books:
Fantasy books when kiddy (GRR Martin, Tolkien, Isaac, Huxley)
Enjoyed Les chants de Maldoror (Lautréamont), Veronika decided to die (Coelho), re-reading with so much pleasure Le comte de Monte-Cristo (Dumas).
Japanese literature: Yoshikawa (on Miyamoto Musashi, famous samourai and kinda philosopher), Murakami (he has a less-famous-but-very-good book on running)
Buddhism and philosophical books . Krishnamurti
French ones. Camus (La peste), Sartre, Yourcenar (Les memoires d'Hadrien is just amazing)

Music:
Old ones: Bob Marley, Joe Cocker, Cat Stevens, Bonnie Tyler, Muse, Scorpions, Janis Joplin, Gipsy Kings, Vaya Con Dios,
More recently: Florence + the machine, Bedouins Soundclash, City and Colour, Gotye, Ed Sheeran, Sia, Cocoon, Cocorosie, Bon Iver, Imogen Heap, Anthony and the Johnsons, Revolver, Rihanna, Ben Harper...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Going to Mongolia alone for 40 days. Ride horses in the middle of nowhere without actually knowing how to ride. Drink horse's alcoholized milk. Eat things coming from goat's organs. Being with incredibly generous people.
Going to Sudan. Met the craziest CSer ever. Talked about women circumcision, weddings and women status in the society.
Lived for one year in Indonesia. Climbed erupting volcanoes and saw smoke ejected from the crater. Ate rice over and over, day after day, and enjoyed it so much. Bought a (real) motorbike without knowing how to drive it.

Teach, Learn, Share

Teach : I know cook a kind of corn bred which is made in Serbia. French is my mother tongue, I can play tennis rather good. I can speak about movies, philosophy (a little), history, politic, ethic, ecology with anyone interested.
Learn : all I can, about traveling, people, cultures, ways to reach the enlightenment. I'd love to learn to dance; or to carve wood; or to play an instrument... Or massage.
Share : my culture, my opinions, my ideas, my good mood...

Countries I’ve Visited
