Overview
About Me
I'm from Chile. I was traveling for a long time with the idea that I would go back eventually. But I came to the Balkans. Someone told me the saying was "No escape from Balkan". Nobody warned me about Greece, though.
Currently living and working here in Athens, who knows until when.
Vegetarian. Minimalist. Atheist. Feminist. Solo traveler. Hitchhiker.
I enjoy simple things. And the best things in life are for free.
Racists, sexists, homophobics and the like are not my type of people to be around. And most important of all: FUCK THE BORDERS!!
Not the tourist-photographer type so don't tell me your town / village / city / country is not worth a visit or there's nothing to do or see because there's always something. People to meet, food and drinks to taste, history and language to learn. You won't see me visiting museums or tourist attractions but much rather walking/getting lost and hanging out with my hosts and guests.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I do believe that if I meet local people I have the chance to get to know new countries and cultures deeper. But it is actually more than that. Being on the road taught me that traveling is ABOUT people. About the possibility to connect with other human beings, learn about their history and personal experiences and make long-lasting friends. That's what make the places memorable to me.
Honestly, Couchsurfing has helped me a lot on this matter. Of course, I don't like what CS has become lately (this is not a fucking dating site!) and I totally disagree with the new verification payment and will never submit. I strongly recommend to use Trustroots or other hospitality platforms instead. But I still believe in the concept behind all this.
