About Me
ABOUT ME
Most of all, I'm passionate about movies. Then Math, then photography, then books and music. Considering all, I'm pretty addicted to culture, from the most silly pop stars gossip to most deep and complex art discussion. Putting all together, I discovered I love to travel too, 'cause that is the easiest way to open your mind to new ideas, something that, as a Mathematician and a cinema critic, I find absolutely necessary.
I had the chance to spend a year in France, in a exchange scholarship program, which changed me completely. Somehow I got lazy with some things, and obsessed - in a good way - with others, but most of all, I got to discover how proud I am to be brazilian, something that I didn't pay much attention to while living there.
I love how I got to meet people from all continents, and to let go of some previous ideas that I had about them, and substitute those for faces and opinions from people who actually knows the places. That's something I could get used to.
PHILOSOPHY
A phrase I like a lot? Hard! I would like to tattoo "And in the end the love you take is equal to the love you make", but while I don't have the courage to do it, maybe I can use it here, as some kind of virtual tattoo.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
In Brazil, I live with my parents and my sister, which makes it kind of hard to host, but I'll be glad to give you tips and ask some friends if they can host you. Belo Horizonte is a beautiful city, and I'm very happy and proud to be born there, so I want to show it off :)
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
First timer! I've been in hostels with friends and small apartments and hotels with family, and now I decided to give it a try to couchsurfing, as I have some friends who did it and had a lovely time with their hosts. Hoping to it!

Music, Movies, and Books
Well... Titanic. But don't judge me! When I found out it was also one of Xavier Dolan's favorite movies, I felt like I deserved some respect.
Also modern french cinema like Michel Gondry, Guillaume Cannet, Jean-Pierre Jeunet, Julie Delpy, Abdellatif Kechiche and Maïwenn.
I saw all the non-superhero american big blockbusters, but I find extreme pleasure in small productions.
For music I love pretty much everything with exception of some very specific brazilian rhythms. Love the Fab-four and dancing with all kinds of sounds.
If there's one book I would recommend for my girl friends, that's Little Woman, by Louisa May Alcott, which made a impression on a very young me, and made me rethink my relationship with my sister. But for everyone, I would say my second favorite teen-but-not-so-teen novel, The Catcher in the Rye, by Salinger (still hoping for the movie!). Brazilian poetry gets to me really easily too.
