About Me
Hey there!
My name is Ana, I'm twenty-six years old. I was born in Mexico, and I've been living in São Paulo, Brazil since 2012. I love meeting people and talking about different topics, cooking (I must say I'm a pretty good cook!), going out to dance, and basically getting to know different places/traditions/ways of living.
I majored in psychology and I hope to work in that area soon, but I currently work as an English and Spanish teacher here in Brazil.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I think that meeting "the locals" is one of the coolest things about traveling. I love getting to know people that come from all sorts of backgrounds and experiencies, and I believe Couchsurfing makes that much easier :)
I live in São Paulo with my girlfriend in a super tiny apartment (hopefully we'll move to a bigger one next semester!), so I can't host people for now, but I'd love to show you around São Paulo. Since I'm a foreign in Brazil myself, I love getting to know new places here. The city is culturally vibrant, and although I've been here for four years, there's always something new to discover.
Interests
Having a beer and a nice conversation, going out to dance (that interest started here in Brazil, the music is awesome),bicycle riding, cooking, traveling, and exploring out-of-the ordinary places in the cities I live in.

Music, Movies, and Books
Music: Brazilian music in general (Caetano Veloso, Os Mutantes), lounge music, oldies such as Pink Floyd and The Doors, not-so-oldies such as Red Hot Chili Peppers, Foo Fighters...
Favorite movie: Stranger than fiction
Favorite book: La tregua
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Start riding my bicycle in São Paulo from scratch. It was one of the best decisions I made, because I met most of my brazilian friends that way and I got much more intimate with the city.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Aside from trying to be a nice company to have some beers with, I LOVE cooking for people... I'm a vegetarian, but meat-lovers usually enjoy my dishes too haha. Also, if you're trying to practice your english/spanish/portuguese, we could speak in one of those languages.
