About Me

CURRENT MISSION

After my life-changing Africa trip, I head back to Europe for the summer to discover some amazing countries I have left.
Also, need to figure out my sources of income and stabilize them for my dream digital nomad lifestyle.

ABOUT ME

*** Currently I live nomadic, so I don't have any place to host people. In the past though, everytime I had some kind of accomodation, I shared it. Even my tent, when I lived in one. Sorry for not hosting and only surfing at the moment ***

**2022 UPDATE**
Africa rules big time. Now the European Union feels quite boring (and expensive) in comparison. Egypt was one of my best trips so far and the amount of experiences there was epic. And here in Tanzania I feel at home, "adopted" by some families I stayed with.
I will go back to the EU just to say goodbye as well as to visit my family, of course. This is truly a new beginning for me

**2021 UPDATE**
Nowadays I'm travelling mainly to restrictions-free places where people go on with their lives normally and without so much media manipulation. This was my chance to finally discover the Balkans countries (loved it so much! Specially Albania and Bosnia & Herzegovina). Now I will finally leave the European continent for the first time and move on to discover countries such as Egypt and Tanzania. Discovering the African continent (East Africa) is certainly the highlight of the year 2022 for me.

*** Introduction ***

After having had "a normal life" (whatever that means) until October 2013 I set off for traveling around Europe, leaving Leipzig (Germany) and here I am, still on the road. I find that there are just infinite possibilities in life, but one is true: the way you make will be absolutely determined by the people you meet and they are what is really important. The beautiful thing is that these encounters just sort of happen. I love this complete freedom, this openness. My curiosity for all the different worlds that live out there never ends, because we humans are so extremely strange and we are able to create, inhabit and cohabit so many of them. Discovering them and therefore discovering new regions of the human is what keeps me in the move. Let's see what life brings next.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I participate trying to learn as much as I can from the people I get to know. As an already experienced traveler I bring up many stories and share my know-how

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I was attending some meetings back then in my hometown and I was hosted in Ireland as well as in Germany. That is how I got started. As I was living in Leipzig I also hosted some folks.
CS was the best idea ever until it got sold and commercialized. Well, the idea is still the best but the application is wrong. Sadly BeWelcome is still rather small

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Things I've done:

- Hitchhiking almost non-stop for three years within the EU
- Volunteering at the Calais refugees camp
- Protesting and getting arrested twice at the Arms Fair protest in London
- Driving illegally a paperless van
- Visiting slum communities around the Berlin area full of drug-addicts and criminals
- Participated in nearly all anti-Corona-restrictions protests in Germany, until I realized it was completely useless
- Sabotaging the construction of a thermal power station that ruined a whole peninsula of magnificent nature in Finland
- Biking for one month through Sweden in summer, sleeping in a tent and dumpster-diving for food
- Volunteered to make a DIY festival at a cool community in Denmark
- Stayed one month in Christiania (Copenhague) secretly sleeping on a rooftop in a camping tent
- Also camped stealthily in Bern for two months, next to the Aare river

Things I've seen:

- The inner area of the cathedral of Sevilla, my hometown
- The calm sea beneath Cliffs of Moher
- The incredible raw nature of Northern Norway (Lofoten islands)
- The Ancient Egypt ruins (all of them)
- The Zanzibar ocean
- The Savannah in Tinga Tinga
- The jungle surrounding Arusha.
