About Me

My name is Ana, I'm from Brazil. My passion for travel started when I was little, my mother used to take my sister and me to discover the states around Rio de Janeiro. Like the good geologist teatcher that she was, she used to take us on trails, museums, ecological parks, theater.
For my profession I chose conservation and restoration because of my passion for works of art, I have always been interested in the stories of things. I believe that this interest in art, culture and exchange led me to have a couchsurfing profile.
I am very interested about civil, political and minority rights, history and politics. I enjoy always being learning about other cultures, languages, food and drinks
I practice a Brazilian fight called jiu jitsu

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I believe that this site can offer a lot of cultural exchange and I've always sought to know far beyond the general. I hope that in addition to knowing, I can share a little about my culture and destigmatize the image that people make of Brazil to the outside world.

Music, Movies, and Books

I have a very eclectic taste in music, I've always thought that well-produced music doesn't stick to one style. At the moment, I've been listening to a lot of Brazilian music, Vintage Culture, Jorja Smith, Kodaline, Pink Floyd, many others. By the way, I'd love to get to know musical styles from the countries I'm going to visit.
From movies, my favorite movie style is drama, thriller and horror. I love French comedy films, I always thought they were brilliant and very funny.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

People have always thought of me as a discoverer, because I love learning new things and living too. An amazing thing for me that I did was the Inca trail I did in 2020, just before the pandemic. The trail basically took 3 days of hiking in the Andes mountain range, I got rain every day, carrying a 10 kilo suitcase on my back but it was one of the most incredible experiences I've had because the trail ended in Machu Picchu. This world heritage!
Not to mention the energy of the place, as much as it got rain during the whole trail, whenever the rain passed, several rainbows appeared afterwards.

Teach, Learn, Share

I would love to be able to cook and make typical food from here. I can also teach funk, forró and samba dancing.
