Hi everyone!

I am actually born in the Black Forest in the south of Germany but I have been living in Cologne for 18 years now and feel that it's save to say I am a "Kölnerin" :). I am living in a cozy maisonette studio in the heart of Cologne's "Südstadt", a very old part of Cologne's city centre with a vibrant and diverse community and a unique charm. Nonetheless, since the apartment is on the fourth and fifth floor (without an elevator), it is very quiet - and it offers an amazing view over Cologne, especially from the roof-top terrace :)

Even though I really enjoy living alone at the moment, I also very much enjoy travelling as well as meeting people from different cultures, most of all because it really makes me feel alive.

I have been signed up for couchsurfing since 2013 but I never actually used my account, which I definitely want to change now! :)

I will be on a sabbatical from August 2019 until about July 2020 which means I will be travelling myself and can't host you then. Until then (and after that) I am looking forward to share experiences and stories from around the world and to host you a few nights a month.

The world is so large but the people we connect with make it smaller. I strongly believe that countries are more interesting through the eyes of locals. The list of countries I've visited is meaningless without the stories of people attached to them. After all, human connection is all we have.
