I'm a college professor and former case manager for refugee students at a local community college who is currently serving as an English language instructor in Urcuqui, Imbabura, Ecuador.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have hosted couch surfers in Jacksonville and offered my apartment for a couch surfers' meeting in Dushanbe, Tajikistan while living there and now here in Bishkek.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've hosted four couch surfers, three from the States and one young guy from Germany. All my experiences were positive. I have been hosted once by a couch surfer in Istanbul, Turkey.

I love to read and own tons of books on a myriad of subjects. Listening to music, mostly Latin, dancing and traveling are my other hobbies.

I love to listen to romantic music mostly Latin ballads and oldies.

I read voraciously and have an impressive collection of books both in paper and digital format. I love to read fiction, autobiographies, memoirs, travelogues and short stories.

I completed the Annapurna trek in Nepal all by myself.

I love to talk to people from all walks of life as I've found that I can learn from anyone. I especially like meeting other teachers so as to gain more insight into the teaching profession.
