About Me

I ´m passionated about everything I do!
I am a visual artist and sociologist. I work in innovation & market research for a living, but if sociology frames the way I see things, art is my way to express myself.

I love to travel, because dah it enriches life, Yes sounds kind of cheesy, but in my experience, when you travel, away from your routines, you let loose more, and actually open up what´s new and different.

I´m easy going and fun, so my friends say, hahaha

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I believe that travelling is about the experiences you have and when you look back, its about the people you´ve shared them with, rather than the landscape.
I´m new to couchsurfing but an ´old´ (?) traveller and what stays with me are the connections I´ve made along the way.
From sharing a coffee with a total stranger while sitting out a heavy rain in NYC and spending all morning chatting, to spending a couple of days in the Mexico jungle with a group of friends that made me feel that I was part of the group too since minute #1, or even asking someone on the street on a trip to take a picture for me and end up becoming friends - still in touch 5 years later -

Music, Movies, and Books

Music, I like rock, indie, bossa, jazz, even tango! My current playlist includes The Magnetic Fields, Nick Cave, Leonard Cohen, Laura Marling, Pearl Jam, Marisa Monte, Adriana Calcahnuto, Pat Metteny, and so on.

Books I also have a wide spread, though I used to read more than I do currently. Roberto Juarroz is my favorite poet from Argentina. I love Lorrie Moore short stories, and I wouldn´t care to read twice any good science fiction story

Movies: Zoolander, of course. You, me and everyone else we know (Miranda July)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

A bit over 3 years ago I´ve quit my job and applied (and got accepted) to an art residency in NYC. Here is what happened there: https://vimeo.com/163870500

Teach, Learn, Share

I gave art lessons for a couple of years and loved the experience (you might learn more teaching than the student!) I´d love to share the love for art anywhere in the world. I´d like to learn about people, places, basically by sharing time and laughs.

Countries I’ve Visited

Belgium, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Cuba, England, France, Germany, Honduras, Israel, Italy, Mexico, Netherlands, Paraguay, Spain, Switzerland, United Kingdom, United States, Uruguay, Vatican City State
