About Me
I am a 28 yo french woman and I just left my country early December to start a new life in Canada next spring.
I am originally a registered nurse but I took a break from my job a year and half ago to travel around USA and Central America and to learn and experience new things.
I always had the travel bug but I think my condition is getting worst since I backpacked by myself for 8 months...!!
So I bought this really cheap one-way plane ticket from Paris to Los Angeles, I packed everything I would need and that could fit in my big backpack and here I go again!
I would describe myself as an easy-going girl, always curious to learn new things, craving for adventures. I would be up to pretty much everything that sounds exciting except if it involves jumping from a plane or being around snakes (but I'll try to overcome these fears one day!)
But I'm a simple person that appreciate simple things too. I loooooove food (Lebanese, Italian and French food are my favorite but I love pretty much EVERYTHING that is edible, oh and I love juicy burgers and American breakfasts!!), I love music and digging some new sounds and bands, I love drinking beers and dive bars, I love sleeping, I love watching sunsets and I love driving cars, I love watching good movies and binge-watching new TV shows, I love wine, I love French Boxe, I love dance and I love dancing, I love playing pool even if i'm really bad at it, I love hiking, I love the calm of the country side but I love vibrant big cities too, I love going to music festivals and I love small/intimate concert venues too. I love to meet new people, I love surprises and last minute choices, I love life and I love to feel free.
I usually get along better with guys than girls, but whatever you are if you like all these things too we will definitely get along.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I met the most incredible persons while traveling and only had really good experiences with Couchsurfing. I just prefer this way of traveling cause I can meet locals that are willing to make me discover their city, to give me tips and ideas for my trip, to share with me a bit of their life experience.
And I'm not gonna lie, its great if you travel on a budget too!
And if you got no time for me because of your work or any other reasons thats totally fine with me, i'll still have a couch to sleep in :)
I actually never host anyone because i had no couch to offer in the past and now im just travelling. But for sure i will give back when i am able to.
Music, Movies, and Books
I am a music lover with some eclectic tastes. I grew up with rock music so i listen to a lot of different rock sounds: pop-rock, indie, punk, noise, psychedelic.... But i also love hip-hop, folk, soul, jazz, blues, old-school R&B, pop, electro, arabic music, classic music, country...
Cinema: Pedro Almodovar, Woody Allen, Michel Gondry, Alejandro Gonzales Inarritu, French Indépendante Cinema and American Blockbusters too
I completely gave up on reading books since College cause I failed finding time for that but i think that is really important to read and im definitly trying to fix that up at the moment :)
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I climbed and camped on a volcano in Guatemala, while on it I saw the volcano facing it, erupting in the middle of the night. That was insane to experience that, this was really the most spectacular thing I had ever seen.
Teach, Learn, Share
I wanna improve my English, keep learning Spanish, I'd love to learn how to draw or paint, I wanna hike more and have an healthier routine, I wanna learn how to dive and learn how to surf waves, I wanna read more, I wanna be in the sun as much as possible, I wanna meet you if you think we could get along.
What I Can Share with Hosts
My travel experiences? I can cook some good french meals, or have passionate debates around a glass of wine. I hope to be good company!
