Hi,

I'm Anais, a french woman traveling to discover the world and a simpler life.

After two years discovering South America by hitchhiking, I'm on the way to China by bicycle.

I think the system we live in is unfair and because I didn't want to be part of it, 3 years ago I decided to stop using money at all for political and ecological reason : I only use things that people don't want anymore (food, clothes, bicycle parts...), work on a voluntary basis and try to take care as much I can of this beautiful planet !
I believe this alternative way connects me closer to other person.

My long way project is to create a farm self-sufficient in food and energy (maybe in a community) and build some projects with kids, refugees : free bakery, school in the food, bicycle self-repair workshop, Vipassana center...

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

The world wouldn't be the same without sharing. We are all different and we have to learn from everybody.
We also think it's very important to learn how to live together to create a better world.
Couchsurfing is a wonderful way for all of this !

Interests

I'm very interested about ecology, alternative economies, feminism, positive education, yoga and meditation.
I like to cook (most of all vegetarian and vegan recipes), read and write (I try to write a book about my travel).

Music : it depends of my mood but I like pop, old hip-hop, rock, reggae, samba.

Books : travel stories, graphic novel, photographers book, some writers like Khaled Hosseini, Frederic Lenoir, Anna Gavalda...

What I Can Share with Hosts

I helped several times in vegetable garden, natural construction, carpentry... I would be more than happy to help you in your project.
To eat, I'm recycling the left over from restaurants, street markets or supermarkets ... many times I have enough to cook good food for everyone.
