About Me
--- Currently travelling in NZ - Australia for a year :) Sorry I'm not able to host anyone, but I'm happy to meet up around the country ---
---Note: Couchsurfing is way more than just a free couch! Please take the time to read my profile AND the description of my home (on mobile, you access it through the "learn more" button just above) before sending me a couchsurfing request---
CURRENT MISSION
Enjoy and travel
ABOUT ME
My main current strategy for travelling is to live on my place of holiday. I usually stay for 1 or 2 years in the same place and then move somewhere new (so far, it has been in the UK, Madagascar, Canada and now NZ). I tend to like to settle down, but since I became a digital nomad (working remotely from my computer), I'm getting a bit more mobile that I used to. I'm very grateful this new way of getting income has allowed me to live the last months within hippie communities in the nature.
Since 2018, I became part of the rainbow family, joining the hippie lifestyle <3
That will probably sound very cheesy but I'm an engaged person who is doing her best to make the world a little bit of a better place and who enjoy observing local solutions to global problems:
- for the environment (reduce waste and buy second hand as much as possible, cycling, reducing meat and dairy consumption, etc)
- for the people (develop respect, solidarity, empathy, learn more about feminism, etc)
- etc etc
I love hiking, cycling, and adventures in general.
PHILOSOPHY
Life is short, so don't worry and enjoy
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Couchsurfing (along with wwoofing) is always my first reflex when I plan to travel (and when I don't prepare my holidays at the veryyy last minute, as it is usually the case). It's always way more interesting to stay with locals, discover more about the culture, the local food and tradition.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
My first couchsurfing experience was one night in Belgium (Charleroi). As everyone I guess, I was a bit nervous at first but it turns out to be a very good experience !
Then, we spent our holidays in Mauritus with couchsurfing. That was very cool to find out more about the Mauritian French community and history on this island.
And then in Berlin, and Lisbone as well.
I started to host as soon as I lived in something bigger than a tiny studio apartment and I always had very good time with couchsurfers!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
One of the best place I've ever been was this empty beach in Madagascar, in this fisherman village that is so small that you can't even find it on Google map (Sarodrano). Little simple very cheap bungalows in front of the sea, with the coral barer close enough to go there by pirogue for snorkelling. Musicians from the village come to play for the evening. Sky full of stars, at night... Felt a bit like paradise!
