Overview
About Me
I work as a cultural producer and therefore am very interested in music, arts and culture in general. I also love history, politics, traveling, photography and literature, as well as meeting new people with interesting life experiences.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I find hosting a very interesting activity, and even more so when I'm able to host people with nice stories to tell. I've hosted some amazing people with huge hearts and great lives, and also hosted some people that were not as gentle, but I believe everyone has something to teach me so I try and see the best in every situation I get to experience, and that's why I keep hosting.
In June 2015, I did an Interrail travel in Europe which took me to many amazing places and allowed me to meet extraordinary people, most of which have hosted me or met me through Couchsurfing. Getting the chance to live the true experience of each place I visited, getting to know the locals and their culture, and sharing our knowledge and experiences were only the tip of the iceberg of this great adventure. My hosts took me much further than I'd have ever imagined if I were on my own, and I carry them in my heart forever. I hope I can be a host as good as they ever were for me.

Music, Movies, and Books
(I believe it should be forbidden to ask a Music student to choose their favourite music, but well, I can always try...)
Music: music from the Baroque period is my great passion, but I also like some of the Classical and Romantic composers as well (Modern and Contemporary are always a bit hard to accept for me, but I don't really hate it 100%). Talking about popular music, I used to like really heavy rock genres when I was younger, and although I can still come to a rock concert and enjoy it a lot, I don't really listen to it very much anymore. I like Brazilian popular music, especially samba, bossa and MPB itself, and have learned to love jazz. In fact, I believe I like pretty much every music genre, depending on the context, the moment, the people I'm with and the way I feel - I can end up enjoying rap, trance, trap, world music, folk...
Movies: couldn't say I have one particular favourite movie, but I really like the Alien series. Sci-fi in general is quite awesome - and when it envolves some level of reflection, it's just the better (e.g.: Mr. Nobody). But I also like lighter sci-fi, like Mars Attacks!, and movies that are funny in a smart way.
Other favourites would be O Auto da Compadecida (a really funny Brazilian movie), Medianeras, Les Intouchables...
Books: I really like The Catcher in the Rye, the Anno Dracula series and American Gods (and most of Neil Gaiman's romances, actually). Brazilian literature also has a special place in my heart, as well as José Saramago.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I've learned to ride a bike for the first time in January 2015, in the Finnish winter, on the snow and with -16ºC for 4 kilometers. Thought I'd never move my toes again, but survived!
I've also been to a concert in the Mafra National Palace (Portugal), which is the only place on Earth that has 6 organs in the same church, and they where built in order to play at the same time.
In Slovenia, my CS host took me to the Bohinj lake and we crossed it by kayak. The landscape was amazing.
And last year, in London, it was Halloween's even and a crazy stranger set my hair on fire in plain Piccadilly. No injuries made, but it was quite something to remember!
Teach, Learn, Share
I might be able to share some basic vegetarian recipes, some photography ideas and something about music and arts. I can also tell you about Brazil and it's culture, and I can share some of my experiences as a traveler (mainly inside Brazil and in Europe) as well.
I'd love to learn more about other cultures and countries, experiencing the world... And mostly everything, I guess! I love talking about philosophy and going to museums with other people.
As a host and also as a guest, I really enjoy sharing (at least) a meal with the people I'm with, and I may not be the best cook in the world but I believe I can make some tasty vegetarian dishes (and Brazilian sweets!).
