Hello, my name is Alex Murphy. I grew up in Lancaster Pennsylvania for most of my life. I am 21 years old and I really enjoy to travel.

PHILOSOPHY

I believe that life formed through a serious of processes see abiogenesis, as for the universe we'll save that for someone else.

My sister is part of Couchsurfing and we've had someone stay with us for a night or two and they were amazing.

Interests

Interested in learning/doing/attempting:
permaculture, various instruments, sailing, seed saving,natural building, how to live like the hunter gathers of distant times, squatting, dumpster diving, train hopping.

Enjoy Doing:
reading, eating unprocessed foods, meeting people, drinking homebrew, listening to music, conversations, hitchhiking, being alive (seriously it's the most wonderful thing in the world), the outdoors, learning new things, starting and finishing projects, surviving and having fun while I do it.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Helping deliver aid of different forms to the residents of Greensburg, Kansas after their town was torn to shreds by a tornado. Worked as a wildland firefighter for six months and saw mountains go up in flames! Felt like I was going to die after being drug under the water for thirty seconds after a failed parasailing experience.

Helped construct a straw bale house

Interested in learning about bodyweight training (think gymnastics), how to start a fire with things found in nature, primitive living.
