About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Time travel but since human matter can't handle traveling faster than the speed of light; I guess I have to settle for exploring this fucking gorgeous planet before it's destroyed...
ABOUT ME
White trash, bastard child, I grew up in the cultural wastelands and suburban ghettos of southwestern United States. Raised on Diet Coke, McDonald's, and the occasional luxury dinner at Sizzler, I was destined to end up obese, miserable and married with at least two children, probably from different fathers, and a shitty apartment filled with shitty crap in some lame nowhere town.
I was ignored by my mother, detested by my siblings and so basically left to my own devices. That was when I discovered books. Before real travel, I traveled through the printed pages of other people's experiences, imaginations, and adventures. Feral, unlikable and strange; I buried myself in the written word.
I think that was where I got my hunger from. My thirst for adventure, for exploration, for whatever was beyond the horizon. The Jungle Book, Watership Down, Princess Bride, Neverending Story...
Aside from books was a gut-clenching desire to escape the grim dreariness of my reality. To see something more than strip malls and fat old white men and cracked concrete.
When I turned 21, I was lucky enough to meet a man who changed my life. He took me to India for six months. It blew my mind wide open and an almost painful wanderlust was instilled in my soul. After those six months, I dreamed of traveling the world, exploring hidden locations, getting lost, utterly lost.
And so here I am, living in Laos at the moment, although I don't know how long it will last. I have a little apartment but will hopefully be moving into a house in the next couple of months.
Southeast Asia is amazing but I've also spent time in Morocco and Egypt and can't wait to explore more of Africa. I also haven't made it to South America yet... So there is still lots to see.
So yeah, I guess that's about it, for now...
PHILOSOPHY
The Road Not Taken
"I shall be telling this with a sigh,
Somewhere ages and ages hence;
Two roads diverged in a wood and I,
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference…

Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I would love to meet people to kick it with, have adventures with, laugh at things with. I'm fairly new to the area so still am pretty much on my own. I do have an eye for finding cool joints and already have my favorite in town although there is still so much here that I haven't seen.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Exactly none, although I have fucked with AirBnB before...
