About Me

My husband and I are slowly cycling around the world : from France to Quebec, Canada, through Europe, Asia and Americas.

We already did several bike trips together : in Canada, Japan, France, and Cuba. We want to go slow, and enjoy every little detail on road. We have a small tente and usually ask people if we an settle for a night in their garden or a public space... we have made tons of great meetings !

We love couchsurfing to find people that might have time to spend with us, and talk about their country, their life... and it’s always nice to rest in a peaceful place, with a roof sometimes.

We can cook meals for you :)

I have always been interested in human complexity : body, gesture, ideas and hopes, how we could be connected and how we create our own path.
I'm an anthropologist, and recently I became a urban designer too. I'm mostly a sensitive, creative and curious woman, learning and trying and failing again and again.

I grew up in a small village, far from any city and lost in some west part of France, then I lived in Brasil for a while, spent some years in Paris and finally chose to settle in Montreal... a city that I truly love.

* I'm not schizophrenic, I just have two first names :
/ I'm Audrey for my french and canadian friends
/I go by Lise, my second name, in Brasil and in all other latin langages...
You can choose the one you like the best :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

My first backpacker travel was ten years ago, in Romania, with a lot of energy and two great friends but no money at all, as we had spent all your saving in our plane tickets. We hitchhiked from place to place, being hosted by very generous and kind people, sharing their daily life for a little time... I could not imagine another way to explore a region and learn about a culture.
After that travel, I left my village for a small town and started hosting people, friends of friends at the beginning... Then I discovered different networks that were extending this incredible hosting system to the entire world, and my informal hospitality became
