About Me

I grew up in Lisbon, Portugal, I love it and it always feels like home. When I was 21 I lived and studied in Spain for 1 year and I think my interest in travelling started back then. I have been living in the U.K. for the last 4 years, 2 years in England and 2 years in Scotland completing my masters in Arts and Cultural management. It's been great but I've missed the latin soul and weather (of course) ;).

In my free time I enjoy reading, meeting new people and having good talks. I enjoy simple things such as having a beer with friends and/or having a walk or chilling out in a park. I'm a curious person and I am always interested to see things from other perspectives, so I really like and value when people open up and share their point of view.

Me and my boyfriend (Max Veasey) have decided to travel South America together. We both love travelling and are really looking forward to meeting new people and experiencing different cultures.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm on Couchsurfing because travelling is not only about taking selfies in front of monuments, but it is about meeting people, learning their point of view about their own country, sharing experiences and afterwards reflect about our own perspectives. In summary, maybe travelling is learning, or at least, that's what I'm looking for now. And I think meeting locals is the best way to learn about a country. And have fun too :)!

Music, Movies, and Books

My music taste is very ecletic. Just to give you an idea it can go from Anathema (progressive rock/metal?) to Manu Chao.

My favorite book authors are: José Luis Peixeito, Hugo Valter Mãe, Milan Kundera, Gabriel García Marquez, Dostoyevsky...there are probably more!

I love some of Fellini´s films and some of Lars von Trier. I´m also one of those people who forgets the director´s and actors' names, so this is not the best question for me.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you Portuguese (I´m native) or English (fluent).
I can teach you how to cook Bacalhau com Natas ( a portuguese traditional dish)

If you have an idea for a cultural project I can help you.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Last time I was hosted when travelling through Eastern Europe, my friend Sara and I enjoyed cooking with and for our hosts. It was always a funny moment in which we shared recipes, talked about our interests and dreams.

So, I don´t mind at all to cook for you! :)
