ABOUT ME
I drank a 1994 Quinta do Vesuvio Vintage Port; jumped off a plane flying at 18,000 feet; wrote a MA thesis on Nietzsche’s metaphysics and took the next plane to a Scandinavian country to surprise a woman I fell in love over the Internet...not necessarily in that order.
I think with my feelings and feel with my thoughts. I’ve visited Dali’s tomb and love like Caravaggio painted - chiaroscuro.
PHILOSOPHY
That will take some time to explain. But you can start here: http://alexandros.is

Music:
I usually like individual songs/pieces rather than singers/composers/bands. I've realized that there are two common elements that run through most of the music I like. The first is the ability of certain pieces of music to put you in some mood...the song Sex(I'm A) by Lovage is an obvious example...others are Inertia Creeps, Anti-star, Unfinished Sympathy, and Angel by Massive Attack; Clubbed To Death (Kurayamino Mix) and Dragula (Hot Rod Herman Remix) from the Matrix Soundtrack; Alice by Tom Waits; a number of songs by Moby and so on. The other element is when you can tell a piece of music comes from the heart, when the perfomer or composer has left a part of his/her soul in the music - and you can feel that. A striking example of that is Jacques Brel's Ne me quitte pas or Martha Wainwright's You Bloody Motherfucking Asshole. Others include: Damien Rice's The Professor &; La fille Danse, Volcano(Demo version), Cheer's Darlin' and I Remember. A more extensive list of musical pieces which combine either one or both of the above elements: Rachmaninov - Piano Concerto's 2&;3. Chopin - Prelude in E minor. Schoenberg, Transfigured Night (Verklarte Nacht). Domeniconi - Koyunbaba suite op.19. Roland Dyens - Libra Sonatina Fuoco. Paco de Lucia, McLaughlin, di Meola - Mediterranean Sundance. Nick Cave - Into my arms. Leonard Cohen - By the River's dark, Joan of Arc, Famous Blue Raincoat. Lou Reed - What a perfect day. Anthony and the Johnson's - All the album: I am a bird now. Deep Purple - Perfect Strangers, Sometimes I feel like screaming. Pink Floyd - The Wall album. Jeff Buckley - Hallelujah. Tori Amos - Siren. Lucio Dalla - Caruso. Papazoglou - Augoustos. Goran Bregovic - Ederlezi. Dead Can Dance - Yulunga. Hans Zimmer - Gladiator, Black Hawk Down, Green Card. The Soundtrack of the film Vengo. Joni Mitchell - California. Joe Satriani - Midnight. Jimmy Hendrix - Voodoo Child. Lynard Skynard - That Smell. Rory Gallagher - A Million Miles away, Moonchild. Dire Straits - Sultans of Swing, Telegraph Road. Bruce Springsteen - Thunder Road.
