About Me

Dreamer, traveller, foodie

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

To meet, make friends, and dance and drink with new people. I like to talk and if you are from a different culture, there is a whole universe to talk about! I dream of travelling the world not the just see new places and meet new people, but to be able to cook and eat their food, sing their music, speak their language.

Interests

Travel, of course. And reading. And cooking. A bit of gardening, a bit of singing every now and then, and a whole bunch of lazing around.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love music in general and cannot say which or what is my favourite music. I am however trained in Indian classical music and manage to sing without scaring you away. I have always wanted to learn the guitar and the piano but that has never happened.

My favourite book of all times is Daddy-long-legs by Jean Webster. I have read a lot of Sidney Sheldon, Ruskin Bond, Enid Blyton, Jeffrey Archer, Robin Cook and countless other writers. I do not specifically like a certain genre of writing, but if whatever I am reading intrigues a lot of thought or imagination or gives insight to something I have never known and enriches my knowledge, I call it a good read.

I am also watching movies all the time. The Shawshank Redemption, E.T, Kung Fu Panda, Spirit are some movies I love to watch over and over again.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Explored into the thick forests of the Periyar Tiger Reserve on foot at midnight for 3 hours amidst torrential rain. Was scary but such so thrilling!

Teach, Learn, Share

Share laughter and hugs, learn your culture and teach you mine :)

What I Can Share with Hosts

Lots of experiences in Bangalore where I live now. And lots of tips on places nearby Bangalore where one could travel easily and on a budget. I have also traveled widely across India and I could suggest a thing or two about how to travel and things to do. I take a lot of interest in and am very adventurous about food, and I could guide you to good places for the same. I may or may not be able to accommodate a guest, but I would always find time for a fun meet up.
