ABOUT ME

I am a writer and a traveler, my dream is to travel all around the world and to write about my trips!

Four years ago I started traveling. I backpacked in Southern México, where I learned to scuba-dive in the Caribbean Sea, and worked as a volunteer to save marine turtles.

Then I bicycle toured through México, Belize and Guatemala.

Now I live in Colorado, USA, where I snowboard, rock climb, and I'm a raft guide.

I love sports, I love nature and the outdoors, and every activity that involves them both! I love to play soccer and to camp, I love to read and to rock climb, I love dancing salsa and latin music, and I'm full of love and energy, because traveling has changed me and made me a happy person that believes in human kindness.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I participate in CS by travelling right now, but I hope that someday soon I will receive travelers in my home to give back some of the things that my hosts have given me in this past four years.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've met the most amazing folk thanks to Couchsurfing (and to Warm Showers, look for me there, too)! I think Couchsurfing is all about sharing: it's not a way to get free lodging, but a way of undestanding, learning, and teaching. I want to believe that after every CS experience, both parts benefit and learn something from the people they met.

Music, Movies, and Books

Books: A Hundred Years of Solitude by Gabriel García Márquez is my favorite book ever. And I love almost everything that Alessandro Baricco has written, like Silk, and Ocean Sea.

Music: reggae, funk, electronic music. Some of my favorite artists and bands: Ripe, John Butler Trio, Nahko and the Medicine for the People, Ludovico Einaudi, Iration, Makeshift Innocence, Soja, Ben Caplan, The Black Keys, Twiddle, Hot Potato Band.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I was the drummer of a rock band.
I played as a defender in a female soccer team.
I was a volunteer to save marine turtles.
I saw a giant marine return to the sea at dawn.
I saw new-born turtles walk and swim to the sea.
I scuba-dived at night and saw spores of light in a coral reef.
I scuba-dived in a sunken ship.
I rappelled down a waterfall 35 meters tall.
I camped and walked through the Mexican desert in search of peyote.
I rafted down the Arkansas River in Colorado (Brown's Canyon, class III river) in a full moon session.

Teach, Learn, Share

I have so many things to share with you!

I can teach you a word or two in Spanish. Also, how to weave an Ojo de Dios (Eye of God), a handcraft made by a Mexican indigenous group, the Huichol people.

But, above all, I can share with you the stories of my adventures since I've been traveling, like the time I hiked and camped at the top of a dormant volcano and saw another volcano erupt in front of me during the nighttime!
