About Me
ABOUT ME
Though I am Indian, I was born and grew up in Bangkok, Thailand. I consider Thai and Hindi to be my native languages. I also lived in Salem, Oregon for a year in high school as an exchange student. A computer engineering gradutate who worked for a mapping software company from the US for about 3 years in Bangkok. I quit my job about 2 years ago and moved to Shanghai, China to learn Mandarin. In that same time I have also started practicing yoga and did a yoga teacher training program in India this past August and Septemeber. I am looking to apply for MBA at some business schools in the US and Europe as I want to be working in emerging markets.
I am pretty simple and yet I have varied interest and love making new friends. Having lived as an expat for the past 2 years has made me value friendships a lot. And making friends from all over the world has been absolutely amazing and I am grateful for that.
PHILOSOPHY
Never give up on a dream just because of the time it will take to accomplish it. Time will pass anyway.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Playing with a 10-day old baby elephant under the belly of the huge mama elephant. The baby elephant was about the size of a fully-grown Saint Bernard. (I also had a Saint Bernard at that time) We had too much fun playing with a bucket of water that he tried to get himself into! The best part was when he kept wrapping his tiny trunk all around my arm. Not something you can get to experience usually.
Teach, Learn, Share
Indian Food - Since I moved to Shanghai I have been learning to cook some Indian food. I would love to teach and cook some for my host if possible. Although, sometimes the ingredients that go into Indian food may not be readily available.
Yoga - I am just beginning to tech yoga after having completed a yoga teacher training course. I practice more than I teach though but I would love to share if you are interested.
What I Can Share with Hosts
As a Chocoholic I always have chocolate on me, sometime literally, so I surely can share Chocolates with you. I teach yoga part-time in Shanghai so if you are up for it then I can teach you or we can even practice together :-)
