Chi sono
CURRENT MISSION
Go, Grow.
ABOUT ME
I have simple needs and grand aspirations. I'm happy with myself and my life but I'm always trying to make both better. I am equal parts ideals and that's-what-she-said jokes.
I'm not very tied to my opinions, but I argue or playing devil's advocate a lot just for the fun of it. I think it's great exercise.
I'm pretty low-key, and prefer hanging out on the porch or in the park to going to a party. That said, if you want to go explore some woods, or take a joyride into the countryside, or break into an abandoned insane asylum or something, I'm always down for an adventure.
I find most things fascinating.
I am perpetually torn between the urge to maintain serenity and the ache to get lost in chaos.
PHILOSOPHY
1) Be good to people.
2) Live to create great memories.

Musica, film e libri
Movies: Into the Wild, Pulp Fiction, Milk, Persepolis, Almost Famous, City of God, Crips and Bloods: Made in America. I like watching movies, and I use craft projects as an excuse to watch more of them while still being able to consider myself productive.
Music: I love a lot of different music, but I spend most of my time listening to bands like Maserati. Also Gillian Welch, Laura Marling, and anything that sounds remotely like Black Sabbath.
Books: East of Eden, Another Country, All the Pretty Horses, Divisadero, The Lost City of Z, Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close, An American Childhood, The Dharma Bums, Youth in Revolt. LSAT practice books just for fun.
TV: The Wire, Twin Peaks, Star Trek (lots of Star Trek), Parks and Rec, Orange is the New Black, Archer
Una cosa incredibile che ho fatto
One was jumping off a cliff through a waterfall in a Costa Rican rainforest.
Another was climbing around a beautiful canyon called the Valley of the Moon in New Mexico, watching the sun set while perched on the edge of a cliff, and hearing coyotes in the woods a few hundred feet away.
Another was sitting on a tree branch a hundred feet above the ground in the countryside in the Andes in Ecuador, a machete in my boot and a breeze in my hair.
But there have been many.

Do you know how to train hop? Meditate? Make a pinhole camera? Cook something amazing? Play the balalaika? Locate pressure points? Do you know a lot about sociology or politics or history or Eastern philosophy or quantum physics or something I've never even heard of? Like I said, I find everything fascinating. Hell, just tell me your life story.
As for what I can teach: I know a little about a lot of things, but I wouldn't really go so far as to call myself in expert in anything.
I can teach you some Spanish or Russian or French. Or English, if you're from another country.
I can teach you to knit or crochet and how to make a mean cup of coffee.
Or we can just compare life philosophies and travel stories. Or I am filled with enough scattered bits of information to keep an interesting conversation going for a while.
I can tell you why Elvis was a nutjob, and that North American cicadas live 17 years underground before emerging for a few weeks to mate.
Also, I am a good person to bounce ideas off of.
