About Me
CURRENT MISSION
See the world solo once and then again.
ABOUT ME
I’m an ex-investment banker. Quit my job to start my own company which lets me travel as I work. I’ve been on the road for the most part of the last 2 and something years. I’ve travelled through Central & Eastern Europe, New Zealand, India, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Thailand and Cambodia in that time.
I’m currently backpacking across Mexico and then plan on heading to South America for 6 months. I travel solo because I find it to be a super rewarding way to put myself out there and meet people and really experience the places I go through.
My travels mostly involve hiking or mountaineering as that’s my biggest passion. I love the thrill of adventure and especially the beauty of the mountains. I have climbed and hiked extensively in the Indian and Nepalese Himalaya and in New Zealand as well. I absolutely love being in nature and even while I’m not hiking or climbing, I’m usually on a beach swimming or snorkelling or wildlife spotting.
I am quite sociable and outgoing and enjoy eating out at local establishments and grabbing a beer. Not a smoker anymore.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
To see the places I travel to in a different light. I have always stayed at hostels and used guide books to see the countries I am in and I would like to see the place from the point of view of a local instead.
Also, I’m currently learning Spanish and I hope that interacting with native Spanish speakers will help me improve my language skills.
