ABOUT ME

Well Elaine isn't my real name. I just realised I have a lot in common with bizzare Seinfeld situations.
My name is Ana. I like to explore places. Even my small hometown. For example it thrills me to discover a new roof with an amazing view. I used to be an introverted person, but for the last few years I've become less socially awkward and enjoy meeting and talking to strangers :)
I tend to tell people they're soooooooo goodlooking when they sneeze. But barely anyone besides my friends knows what I'm talking about.
And I'm eco friendly. At least when it comes to my heart. This is my love foolosophy

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I can hang out with people for now and can't wait to host them as soon as I get my own place.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've heard so many good things about couchsurfing from a friend of mine who has been surfing and hosting for years now and I've met few interesting people that were couchsurfing in Split. So i decided to couchsurf with a friend on ourlast trip and it was better than I expected it to be. There's no way we could have had a better time without spending some time with our hosts and their advices about the cities.

Interests

science, basketball, spontaneous adventures like paragliding, ziplineing, rafting, hiking, going to concerts, festivals, museums and alternative art exhibitions, volontuering, playing ukulele and kazoo or at least I'm trying to :D
oh, I almost forgot. I've got the smartest dog ever called Simba who i love to hang out with. I swear this dog can talk :)

Music, Movies, and Books

I have an obsessive–compulsive disorder when it comes to reading a book. I tend to read them all over again and almost never finish them :| But I enjoy Hermann Hesse, Haruki Murakami etc..

I prefer to spend my time discovering new music. I'm interested in new wave,postpunk, indie rock and great stuff I find out from day to day.
Lately I adore Molly Nilsson.Check her out;)

One of my favorite things to do on a summer night in my town is to sit on Peristil, placed in the middle of an 1700 years old palace, and listen to an amazing acoustic performer famous for his amazing live plays in front of café by the Cathedral of St. Domnius. Sitting on the steps of Peristil with a refreshment in hand is simply magical as you take in the city’s vibe listening to him play numorous hits. He's doing saxophone and trump parts with his voice when needed too and just leaves speechles :)

I started a little vinyl collection and hope to get a gramophone asap.
I'm not much of a dancer unless I have a drink or two:D

In the meantime I watch my favorite tv shows like The Office, Seinfeld, AbFab and they never bore me. I don't watch movies that often but when I do they become pretty important to me and I know them by heart ( Lost in translation, American Beauty, The Skin I Live In..)I'm a David Lynch fan too I love.And I love low budget movies on festivals.

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm capable of making something out of nothing when it comes to cooking, baking or just making halloween costumes. I guess I've always been artistic deep inside and it comes on surface every once in a while in my everyday life.
