Working on my Master thesis

ABOUT ME

I constantly seek to experience new things in life. I like to join goups, workshops and forums whose objectives and ideas intersect with mine. During the years of University studies as an undergraduate student, I was interested in various cultural and artistic events that took place in Agadir as well as in other Moroccan cities.

I gained even more experience from Joining ISWI Festival in Germany. This event has truly marked a shining period in my memory because it was a rich meeting of about 400 young students from all over the world, a meeting where cultures have exposed themselves to each other in different ways. Now I'm back to University after 3 years of work as an EFL teacher. I'm student of Comparative studies Master Programme at Ibn Zohr University in Agadir.

I'm looking forward to enlarge my experience and to get to know other poeple from other parts of the world because i believe that face-to-face contact between people of different cultures can help to overcome many fossilized stereotypes that continue to circulate among Media and Internet. I hope much of this will be achieved through this website :)

PHILOSOPHY

I belive that we are born to accumulate experiences and knowledge from the slightest things we observe to the biggest events that mark our lives. For this reason, I think that new experience should be sought whenever it is possible; it should be also observed and violated, its shortcomings also reconsidered. This , to my mind at least, is the way we learn and develop ourselves.

The best moments in my life are those when i feel that I am doing something or I am part of something. This is the way to being an important, active agent in a global community. The necessity of one being a local citizen contributes and complements his ability to act globally as well.

I think Couchsurfing provides the opportunity to implement many of such great ideas.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

My aim as a member of Couchsurfing community goes beyond accomodating surfers who intend to visit my place or being accomodated. I believe that the philosophy behind couchsurfing is not simplistic to confine itself with finding substitutes for Hotels. Couchsurfing is rather a place for sharing cultural specificities, experience and knowledge.While hosting friends, I'm looking forward to dicuss together interesting cultural and intellectual issues.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I was hosted 3 years ago by a friend in Franfurt-Germany. Richard was a wonderful host. We travelled together by his car and moved from Hessen to Turingen, visited Turingen forest, played mountain sports, and met with wonderful poeple...

Interests

I am interested in reading and writing different forms; notes, articles, journals...

I enjoy also travelling often alone, but usually with friends.
