ABOUT ME
I am social, curious and always open to meeting new friends. I like to grab opportunities that are given, or create them myself. It is my lifelong dream to see more of the world and meet incredible people, whether they come to me or I go out. The people I meet are the most important for my travels; some people travel to see different things, I travel to see things differently.
PHILOSOPHY
Live life with no regrets
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
After a year of mostly hosting, I was surfing in 2012. I participated in many activities of CS'ers while traveling Asia in 2012 and I had many memorable experiences. in 2013 i hope to be hosting again (first I need to find a new home for myself).
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Before getting on board my vessel last summer in Norway, I met up with a fellow CouchSurfer. Together with his friend we had a late night drink and they showed me the beautiful village while he told me about his great travel plans (he was leaving in 4 days). The next morning I realised that his plans sounded so great that I should arrange a gap year for traveling myself....and so...with great thanks to jorn bjorn I put energy in finally realising my dream!
Interests
Traveling (oh really?!), cooking, tea, watching movies, swimming, sailing, more tea, surfing, pinguins, reading, shoes, sudoku (my geeky side needs to note I am a champ in solving sudoku!)

Music, Movies, and Books
I really like girly feel-good movies, but also often watch non-fiction and action.
I can listen to all sorts of music, but in general i am not entertained by rap.
Books....oh...I read a lot. Mostly thrillers and non-fiction, both in English and in Dutch. Also, I like reading cooking books :)
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I stayed in a Japanese family for three weeks when I was 16; life changing experience!
Teach, Learn, Share
I like to talk about Dutch culture, traditions etc. I do not agree with those who say that the Dutch do not have their own style, nor those who critize our cuisine... I will gladly tell your more about why I belief so.
Also, I love cooking; anyone open for some new recipes please know I am very willing to share :-)
