About Me

Hi, I'm a language freak and an art geek
I do all kind of stuff with languages, I translate, interpret, I teach languages, I make city tours in different langua... oops, it's not a CV, is it?

Well, anyway, I'd love to share what I know, I love listening to stories too. In fact, I'm keen on collecting little interesting facts and I enjoy comparing.

Do you know that in France you gather mushrooms, then you go to pharmacy (!) and they tell you whether the mushrooms you got are poisonous or not. Never happened in Russia, wanna check this one myself.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm a young tour-guide in my city, I'm telling people a lot about its history and culture and also about world art.

I believe that the best stories are the ones that are spruced up with your own experience, so... I'm here to get that experience, to explore, to touch, feel, see, talk and share.
I'm here for travelling.

Music, Movies, and Books

The last books that impressed me: Julio Cortázar "Hopscotch" and Jean-Paul Sartre "Nausea".

I enjoy Woody Allen, Wes Anderson, Emir Kusturica, Quentin Tarantino, and lots of movies that star DiCaprio. I also adore musicals and experimental and traditional theatre.

As for the music, I listen to The Doors, Beirut, Radiohead, Interpol, Arctic Monkeys, Joy Division, Manu Chao... I'm always glad to share music, and I can show some nice not-so-popular Russian and Brazilian songs.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've... I've... That's been quite a long time ago, but it's about my stage experience, I played Aldonza part in the musical Don Quixote of La Mancha.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can:
1) Teach you how to say mink in seven languages,
2) Cook for you Russian-style pancakes or cottage cheese yummies
3) Sing with you Brazilian Bossa Nova
4) Do your sibling's English homework
5) Share the fun facts about my city (St. Pete's, Russia) and experiences
6) Show some nice new music
7) Go get you drunk in a bar and be all ears
8) Not bother you while you meditate
