About Me

I work as an architect and public space designer. But what is more important , constantly exploring myself - thats the reason why I travel a lot and also do different mindset practises as meditation or psychology

I would say that I’m an open-minded person and always curious about everything new. Creativity and art are my biggest passion - movies, music, photography, literarure or whatever. That’s actually how I usually spend my free time - by watching the movies, listening to music or reading something

Im always in search for the inspiration - it makes me feel fullfilled and also essential for my work. People, their life stories, different opinions and views are usually the most inspiring for me, thus, im here on CS. Its always a pleasure to meet new people and know a little about their life stories :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Below is what I wrote 2 years ago, let it stay here but the main point is that CS for me isn’t about saving money (even though it’s a great bonus) but about having the most amazing travel experiences of my life as it was always like that

During the last few years I’ve been traveling a lot and been living in different places. Now I’m taking a break out of traveling and keep staying in Saint Petersburg. But its still important for me to feel myself being a part of globalized world and not only Russia. Besides, I like meeting new people and be surrounded by people of diverse cultural backgrounds. Couchsurfing has been my way of making foreign friends for a long time but now that I finally have my own place I'm eager to start hosting people

Music, Movies, and Books

Cinema
Wes Anderson, Lynch, Noe Gaspar, Jarmusch, Wong Kar-wai, Yorgos Lanthimos

Music: mostly electronic but also jazz, lo-fi, indie, 60s and 70s. Here are some names: Agar Agar, Men I trust, Nina Simone, Peggy Gou, Red Axes, Nicola Cruz, Young Fathers, Solange, Rhys, joji, Moglii, Biig Piig, Tame Impala, Moby, Grimes + many Ukrainian and Russian bands

Books: earlier I was reading mostly non-fiction but then realized how much I lost. So now trying to catch up, my favourite authors for now are Dovlatov and Vonnegut. But anyways I read quite a lot, so always up for discussions

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Seeing the sunrise on the top of Fuji mountain
Hitchhiking around Japan and having a road-trip around Italy
Working at the vineyard in the south of France
Living in Buddhist temple
Traveling around SE Asia for almost half of the year

Teach, Learn, Share

The main and the most valuable thing we can share with each other is our life experience, at least I suppose so. So, im super excited to meet new people and explore each others life attitudes, stories, experiences, adventures and so on

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can cook russian pancakes. They're a bit different from european ones, so probably it would be a new experience for you :)
