About Me

Hello, my name is Nastya and i’m from Ukraine! I‘m a volunteer, an activist, and a bit of a traveler :) People say I can’t keep out of stumbling into adventures (accidentally!)
I’m very interested in different cultures, especially when it comes to little authentic local things😌
I love nature, particularly mountains, and I hike a little.
People also say i’m funny, but you should check for yourself :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love people and hearing their stories, as well as getting to know their cultures. I’m all in for the idea of people with completely different backgrounds vibing together, so Couchsurfing community is perfect for me :)
I also hope it helps me experience new places fully, especially when travelling solo.

Music, Movies, and Books

I listen to almost everything, but currently enjoying old soul, blues, indie, overall calm and chill stuff.
I’m also a fan of ethnic music. I can definitely show you some great stuff from a few countries, including Ukraine :)

I don’t really watch a lot of movies, but generally l like older ones much more than modern ones. The nice hard-to-understand local ones will also do . No documentaries, sorry.
I’m a fan of adventure classics like Game of Thrones, The Witcher and Lord of the Rings(read it all too).

Used to read a lot of adventure and fantasy, and really trying to bring that habit back recently!!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I organised and managed a building volunteering camp to build a shelter for dogs evacuated from the frontlines. We managed to do it in 6 working days. I feel like that was pretty badass :)

Teach, Learn, Share

I’m head of a local department of a volunteering NGO and a PM in an NGO working with underprivileged children, so we can definitely talk about activism, youth policy and volunteering in Ukraine. I will most probably talk about Ukraine a lot. If you want to get more insight on what’s up - I would be happy to help :)
I’m also in love with Ukrainian folklore, ethnic stuff and culture overall, and I can share a lot, if you’ll be interested :)

What I Can Share with Hosts

I appreciate people who can open their homes and hearts to travellers, and I understand how important it is to be respectful and thankful for that kinda privilege, so the least I can promise is to be tidy, open and flexible enough to adapt to your rules and schedule. I'm happy to help with chores, explore and share memories together. I can also entertain you with jokes, but the funny level will really depend on your sense of humour ✨
