About Me

Hello! I'm Anastasia and I'm from Italy. I was born in Ukraine but when I was 10 y.o. I moved to Treviso, a really close city to Venice. After finishing my high school, I decided to take a gap year and move on because my home town started to choke me. So I'm currently living in Paris as an aupair, which seemed to me the best way to experience the city and its culture!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Because I don't like hotels, I love travelling and meeting new people, visiting new places and living the city like a local then like a tourist! I can't host anyone this year because I live with my host family, but when I come back to Treviso, I certainly will start hosting! Treviso is a small medieval city, but it's really beautiful and rich in history! Besides, it's 30km away from the sea, the mountains and above all it's really close to Venice, Padua and Verona!
I'm only making pocket money this year, so CS seems like the most financially reasonnable way to travel and meet new people and cultures around the world!

Music, Movies, and Books

I like lots of music genres: jazz, rock, electronic, indie, classical, ... My favourite artists: The Velvet Underground, Joy Division, New Order, The Smiths, many italian songwriters (Fabrizio De André, Rino Gaetano, Lucio Battisti, etc), Arcade Fire, Air, Django Reinhardt, etc
I like classical literature, above all English and Russian! But I'd like to discover more contemporary literature, so any suggestion are welcomed ;)
And finally, I'm really keen on cinema!! My dream job would be the cinema teacher, because I would love to convey my huge passion for the seventh art to others! I really like French cinema, above all the New Wave movement (Godard, Truffaut, etc), but also I really appreciate Buster Keaton, Fritz Lang, Kubrick, Buñuel, Hitchcock, Lynch, etc
My favourite films: The graduated (watched like ten times), Pierrot le Fou, American Beauty, Lost in translation, Rocco and his brothers, etc

Teach, Learn, Share

I would like to meet someone who has really big interests in anything, so as I can discover something new and become a richer person! And I would be happy to share my passions with you!
