About Me

Hello there! As you can see my name is Anastasia (pronounsed how you would read it regardless of english rules of reading, i.e. without 'sh' sound). I'm fun, quite adventurous and know a bit about everything that is important today. Here to improve my english speaking skills, meet new friends and enjoy life. If you want to see if I'm not a maniac and indeed a real person you can check out my insta: instagram.com/ntsydenova (follow for follow of course ;)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Music, Movies, and Books

Quality pop, indie, rap (post malone for example), Joji (some kind of lo-fi hip hop i guess), and Russian pop classics (from 90-00s). This list is only relevant for my 2018-2019 self :) I'm not a music snob so I listen to a very wide range of genres. Love instrumental and classical music (absolutely adore how violin sounds!). Always listen to traditional music of a country I'm going to as I think it can help to understand locals and their mentality.
Love popular science books (loved Karl Sagan' Pale blue dot and Richard Dawkins' The selfish gene and The god delusion). In fiction literature I like Harry Potter saga ofc, Ray Bradbury, some Russian authors (V. Mayakovsky, I. Bunin, M. Bulgakov etc), Kurt Vonnegut, american classics (once read B. Franklin' autobiography, was really impressed).

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Passed a law exam in my uni;
participated in an organisation of FIFA World Cup in Saint-Petersburg in 2018, met a lot of interesting people;
painted 5 mediocre pictures to hang on my wall;
swam in an ice cold Baikal lake, as well as ice cold mountain lake (shaped like a heart :)

Teach, Learn, Share

Can teach you how to play several popular songs on ukulele (probably) and would love to exchange expiriences with you! Also can cook some simple dishes that I cook at home in Russia.

What I Can Share with Hosts

An insiders view on russian culture, typical russian cuisine and all these stereotypes about us. If you would like to know a little bit about life in russian suburbs, I'm the right person to ask (I lived in the middle of mother Russia for 18 years)

Countries I’ve Visited

China, Finland, Sweden, United Kingdom

Countries I’ve Lived In

Russian Federation
