About Me

I'm a linguist and a specialist in intercultural communication from St. Petersburg, Russia who (surprise-surprise, =)) loves languages and different cultures. Besides Russian I speak English, Brazilian Portuguese, starting to learn Spanish and Japanese. I'm calm and collected, but sociable, open-minded, curious and like to have fun. I've participated in a few events as an employee or a volunteer (Sochi2014 Olympic and Paralympic games, Rio2016 Olympic and Paralympic games, World Combat Games 2013 in St. Petersburg, Russia, Argentine tango festival "Milonga on Neva river" in St. Petersbrg, Russia etc.).
I like dancing (salsa, bachata, zouk, tango etc.), walking in nature, some slightly geeky activities like playing board games and other activities.
I've worked with a few different things all of which were mostly connected to languages. In fall of 2018 I decided to try something different, challenge myself and try to find my place in the world and who I really am. I switched to freelance and in December 2018 left Russia, visited Paris, then stayed in Rio de Janeiro for 6, then moved to Buenos Aires, stayed there for 3 months, visited Montevideo (stayed there for a week) and now I'm back to Buenos Aires.
In traveling I like not only visiting places but talking to people, learning about their culture, what they're interested in and what their view of the world is. Connecting cultures is always amazing and I want to mage my contribution into that.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Right now I'm in Buenos Aires. Have already stayed here for 5 months, in September 2019 visited Montevideo and before Buenos Aires I stayed for 6 months in Rio de Janeiro. In my travels the most important to me is to talk to people and understand something about their culture.
In exchange for staying at your place I can teach you English or Russian (I'm a professional linguist and an experienced teacher) or just help practicing. I also like cooking, so I'll be happy to help with that and maybe cook some Russian national dishes as well. And of course I'll share my stories =)
