My favorite music style is rock (almost all kinds, with the exception for country and hardcore metal types). Fave bands are: Muse, SOAD, the Killers, Queen, AC/DC, Doors and many many others (songs of ones Ive mentioned I really know by heart).
As for books, I prefer classic literature.
