About Me
ABOUT ME
Russian, 27. Science journalist for Popular Mechanics (Russian edition). I can talk about technology, science, the future and history, politics, I enjoy long walks, and sports (morning jog anyone?). I don't drink, though it's not a problem if you do, I just can't keep company. Animal enthusiast. Tidy, no problem here. When visiting a new place, I always do my homework, learn about the history, and try to figure out how it came to be the way it is now (usually it's about wiki page about the city/country + some educational youtube videos). Like forests and meadows as well as cities.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I've been here passively for years, but never happened to welcome anyone because of my smallish apartment. Nor have I ever been a guest due the way I usually travel (business trips mostly, fancy hotels). But a friend of mine is a huge fan of CS, so I often met his guests and went to CS events. I love the community.

Music, Movies, and Books
Love old and modern American authors, from Melville to Updike, Roth&Franzen recently, European, too, like Hesse and Mann, and of course Russian (Chekhov&Bulgakov and some less famous abound).
Love for cinema not as developed as for books, but some French and American directors currently on the list and the list is being updated.
