Overview
About Me
I am Ukrainian, originally born in Kyiv, and now living in Wroclaw, Poland for almost 4 years. I am preparing my PhD dissertation at the Department of Urban Planning and Spatial Management of Wroclaw University of Science and Technology. Vegan for almost 7 years. Urban cycling and sustainability advocate. I am a versatile person. There are plenty of things I am interested in and which I tried in my life. I love active lifestyle, so I am into sports, now mostly focusing on running, but I also do like and practice from time to time swimming, climbing, badminton, stretching, pilates, yoga, animal flow, cycling (apart from casual urban cycling), hiking, cross-country skiing and trail running, boxing, kayaking, SUP-boarding, various functional training. I like dancing, now started my adventure with contemporary, but earlier also practiced flamenco, and some of classics as well, hope to try latino one day. I had experience of volunteering in 4 NGOs – Ukrainer, U-Cycle (board member), Every Animal (Vegan Express course guide) and Akcja Miasto. In Ukrainer I had a possibility to try myself in different roles – a CMS-based web designer, a publication coordinator, a project manager, a translator, a chauffeur for a crew in expedition, an SMM specialist. Among things I tried – drawing, quad bike driving, playing drums, welding, crafting, sailing, running half marathon, cycling almost 200 km in one day and a lot of other amazing experiences. I'm interested in architecture and urban studies, project management, psychology, history, culture, art, literature, board games, language learning, exploring places and interesting fascinating facts, birdwatching and nature.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
While travelling, I'm eager to know new people, especially those who live in the place I visit. I believe it is one of the best ways to learn more about new places with people who live there. It is exciting to share experience and stories, and to learn something new from each other. Also, living in one's home is completely different experience from a standard accommodation options like hostels, hostels and apartments for rent: it makes you experience the place deeper and under the different angle.

Music, Movies, and Books
Among my favourite films – The Worst Person in the World, An Honest Life, Divergent, Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter, Fantastic Beasts, Home Alone, 10th Kingdom, Pride and Prejudice, Vanity Fair, Sense and Sensibility, V for Vendetta, Before I Fall, The Notebook, The Invisible, The Family, Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy, Eternal Sunshine oof the Spotless Mind, The Vow.
My favourite TV series – Downton Abbey, Wednesday, Charmed.
I like different kinds of music – from classic to pop, disco, jazz, R'n'B, to indie, rock, metal and gothic metal, and even punk rock. My favourite compositions change from week to week. I like as well world music (mostly in English, sometimes in German, French, Spanish) (among those I often listen to – Imagine Dragons, Red Hot Chilli Peppers, Lana Del Ray, Billie Eilish, Coldplay, Cigarettes After Sex, David Guetta, Moby, Theatre of Tragedy, Lacrimosa, Apocalyptica) and Ukrainian music (esp. Okean Elzy, Druga Rika, Antytila, Vopli Vidopliasova, The Hardkiss, Arsen Mirzoian, Khrystyna Soloviy, Jerry Heil, Latexfauna, Boombox, Skriabin, TNMK, SKY).
I like reading both non-fiction and fiction books. I can't recall all I've read so far, but the latest I read was Françoise Sagan's "Bonjour Tristesse" and yet reading Olga Tokarczuk "Bieguni". Among the books I liked the most are the novels of Ukrainian modern writer – Max Kidruk.
