About Me

Hi ! Here's a quick and probably incomplete description of me :

I would describe myself as a pretty open-minded and curious spirit who enjoys meeting new people and discovering new stories. I love having philosophical, open-hearted conversations about life and really getting to know people. I would say that I am usually a good and attentive listener :)
My love for stories automatically includes a love for movies (from the cheesiest rom coms to all other kinds of movies) and for books.

I like being in nature and especially in places where I can swim. In winter or in summer, you can find me swimming in the Leman lake, I don't mind the cold water. I love long walks, biking and hiking. Recently have done small bike trips in Switzerland, where I live. Nothing too crazy but still some nice adventures!

My philosophy is that as long as you don't hurt anyone with your actions or words, don't worry too much, have faith in life and enjoy the time and experiences you have on this beautiful planet we get to call our home. Nothing is ultimately good or bad. Everything depends on your perspective.

If these few infos have interested you, even just a bit, I hope that we could meet and get to know more about each other :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

For the people, the sharing, the stories. Everything. It is fascinating to me the bonds we can create among us just by being open to each other and I have never seen more open people that on this platform.

I haven't used Couchsurfing by myself a lot but I've travelled with friends who did and I'm glad because thanks to them, I was able to see how amazing it can be.

I'm here because I love sharing a good laugh, a tasty delicious meal, some refreshing or warm drinks. Creating good memories :) Also because I believe that this is one of the best we can grow : by being confronted with new individuals with their different characters, personalities and stories.

Music, Movies, and Books

As many people, I like various kinds of music but mainly I like to listen to indie pop, indie pop rock, french variety, some rap, some electro music and some classical music. I love old, groovy songs just as much as very calm, relaxing songs. Obviously, it depends of the moment, the mood, the people I am with :) Most of the artists I listen to are not widely known but I can quote Lana Del Rey, Aurora, The Parcels, The Neighbourhood, Angèle and so many others :) I also used to play the piano and the guitar.

As for my favorite movies, I'm just going to name a few :
Call me by your name (Luca Guadagnino), The Handmaiden (Park Chan-Wook), Before sunrise (Richard Linklater) and sequels, Interstellar (Christopher Nolan), The Favourite (Yorgos Lanthimos), Running on Empty (Sidney Lumet), The Joker (Todd Phillips), La La Land (Damien Chazelle) ... and some others.
Lately I have decided to catch up on my childhood and watch all the Harry Potters :)

As I said previously, I like to read and I read all kinds of books : fantasy, philosophy, non fiction about health and self development, spirituality, contemporary issues. A few exemples.
A new earth (Eckart Tolle), Sapiens, 21 lessons for the 21st century (Yuval Noah Harrari) ...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Travelled to the other side of the world (to the US in case you were wondering) at the age of 16 to spend a whole year abroad far from everything I knew to learn how to fluently speak English. An exchange year to put it shortly :) And some years later travelled to Mexico by myself for a month.

Teach, Learn, Share

Among other things this is what I could share : I could speak French, Russian and English with those who are learning these languages and want to practice. We can cook and share a good, vegetarian meal. I could take you on a tour of Geneva if you happen to pass by :)
