It seems like the mind just goes blank every time I have to fill one of these out, but I'll do my best! I come from a Ukrainian family. We moved to California when I was 2 years old. I've always been attracted to traveling because I'm fascinated by different cultures. I'm proud to be bicultural, myself.
I recently graduated from California State University, Sacramento and now I want to continue my education by traveling the world. I'm an English major, so naturally, reading about all of the places and people that the world has to offer, I now feel like I need to experience it for myself.
I love language. My main focus in school was linguistics. Hopefully one day I will become a language teacher.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

It sounds like a great way to meet locals and actually experience the culture. Obviously it's beneficial financially. Honestly, I don't know what to expect, but I'd like to find out.
Someday when I have a place of my own, I would like to return the favor.

Interests

Books and movies consume my life. I enjoy the unexplored outdoors. I love learning about culture and people. I pretty much ingest like four gallons of tea per day, so as long as there's tea, I'll be grand.
I also really love animals, big, small, domesticated, wild, fluffy, feathery, scaled, toothless, vicious, patterned, and plain. Love 'em all.
