About Me

Meraklis.
Meraklis is a Greek word to describe someone who does everything he/she does with love and zeal, at the same time it's someone with the ability to thoroughly enjoy, one drawn by aesthetically tasteful things or delicious food. Don't mistake for hedonism haha!

Also once an amazing couchsurfer I met saw me eating an unripe fruit and said that my face manifested 'delight, confusion and questioning life'. I love that one!

Taking every moment for what it is, it’s perfection, it’s full glory, it’s breathtaking astonishing indescribable beauty.

I like to call myself an open-minded person, but it is more a deep curiosity about all things in life, which makes me open minded. So far, travelling and surfing has been helping me a lot to develop that kind of personality.

People say I’m easy going and friendly but let's avoid clichés :) Into arts, philosophy, traveling and all those original things.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I like showing my guests my personal must-sees and once I travel I seek the feeling of living like a local too. These days I’m being hosted more than I host myself.

I respect personal space, so as well as hanging out together I'm fine with my guests doing their own thing. Expect the same from me as a guest ;)

You get what you give, and visa versa, so expect that I'm not reacting to the copy-paste CS requests ;)

To me, CS is all about sharing, and that's what I like in it the most. The ideas of a 'free hotel service' or a 'dating service' are totally wrong ideas about CS, and I keep that in mind being both a guest and a host.
